The new campus, featuring indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a theatre, will offer ample space for high-quality teaching and learning, including comfortable classrooms, science labs, visual arts and design spaces, music studios, and green spaces for outdoor learning. We will also have a dedicated parents’ room once more; a space designed for parents to meet and connect. While our youngest students will enjoy a more sheltered and cosy learning environment, our older students will benefit from more independent learning and social spaces. Childcare organisation Kind & Co Ludens will offer both nursery and after school care in our new building at the Cambridgelaan.
The building we deserve!
The project began in 2017 with the signing of a letter of intent by ISU, Utrecht University, and the Municipality of Utrecht to explore the feasibility of permanent housing for ISU at USP. A team of architects from SVP Architectuur en Stedenbouw and Cross Architecture designed the energy efficient and environmentally friendly campus. Maar Bouwmanagement oversaw the process guidance and spatial planning aspects of the project. With the selection of Van Wijnen BV Arnhem the construction phase of ISU’s new building will begin.
We are thrilled that the city of Utrecht will finally have a mature, permanent international school, providing our students, staff, and parents with the building they deserve! Naturally, we will keep you updated on the progress of the construction.
