Music

We have an ambitious music programme at ISU.

Students from KG-Grade 9 follow a music programme in school delivered by our experienced and enthusiastic music team. Besides learning to play an instrument, sing and listen to music, students have lots of opportunities to perform. We also take students to concerts or welcome performers into our school. Students in Grade 10 can choose music as their art subject and we also offer Music as an IB Diploma subject. To provide students with the opportunity to extend their musical journey, we offer an extensive after school music programme through the ISU Music Academy.

Our after school music programme ties in with the music curriculum taught at ISU. Through the Music Academy we aim to inspire a new generation of musicians who not only excel in their craft but also embody the values of collaboration, expression and empathy. We provide every student who is interested in music with the opportunity to explore their musical potential, discover their unique voice, and to contribute positively to the world through the universal language of music. The ISU Music Academy encompasses both the musical activities (group lessons) and private instrumental lessons.
